I want to become a Kohl’s team member, where do I start?

All of our open positions are listed on our hiring website: kohlscareers.com. Please click “Search Our Jobs” and then enter your zip code in the second search field to find openings near you. If you are looking to apply to a specific location be sure to review the store at which the position is located before applying. We hope to see your application soon!

I recently completed an application. When can I expect to hear back from Kohl’s?

If the location to which you applied is interested in moving you forward to an interview, you will receive an email to the address you used for your kohlscareers.com account. Please watch your inbox – and don’t forget to check spam or junk mail folders.

 

Interview

I recently received an Interview Request Follow Up email but I can’t find my invite to schedule. How can I schedule my interview?

No worries! Emails sometimes get lost in the shuffle, so we like to stay in touch if we haven’t heard back from you. Please search your email for the subject line “Kohl’s Invitation to Interview” to locate your invite. Still no luck? Please contact kohlscareerssupport@kohls.com so we can send it again.

The interview link I received via email gives me an error message. What do I do now?

I recently interviewed with a store but haven’t heard anything back yet. How do I follow up?

We try to let you know the outcome of your in-person interview within 48 hours. That message is sent via email to the address you used for your kohlscareers.com account. Be sure to check your spam/junk mail folder first, and if you have been waiting longer than 48 hours to hear from us, please send us a message at kohlscareerssupport@kohls.com.

None of the interview times work with my schedule. What should I do?

Each location tries to offer as many day and time options as possible to work with different candidate schedules. If the times provided don’t work for you, please email us at kohlscareerssupport@kohls.com to let us know. Once your availability allows you to interview, please reach back out so we can consider you for any current openings the store may have.

I can’t make the interview date and time I scheduled online. What should I do?

The amount of times you are allowed to reschedule is limited, so we always encourage you to attend at the day and time you originally selected. If your interview is more than one day away, you can use the link within your original invitation email or confirmation email to reschedule your interview. Example: If your interview is Wednesday, you can reschedule all day on Monday, but not on Tuesday. If your interview is less than one day away, please send a message to our team at kohlscareerssupport@kohls.com.

 

Offer

How do I send my completed offer forms to you?

Your offer forms are included as links within an offer email. To complete them, just click the link, fill out the requested information and then click “Save.” That’s it! Your form will be electronically submitted to our staffing team. There’s no need to print the forms, bring them to the store or email them as attachments.

I clicked “Save” after completing my offer forms. How do I know if you received them?

You’ll receive a confirmation email within 48 hours to let you know that everything was submitted and to explain next steps.

I received an error message when I tried to save my offer forms. What’s wrong?

It might be the device you’re using. Try switching to a desktop or laptop device (rather than a phone or tablet) and/or switch browsers. The electronic offer forms are most compatible with Internet Explorer (and versions newer than 8). If you continue to have issues, please send a message to our team at kohlscareerssupport@kohls.com.

I am choosing to decline my offer. Should I contact the store directly?

If you have not yet submitted your Offer Acceptance form, choose “No” when answering the question about accepting employment and save the form. Our team will receive that response and inform the appropriate store team members. If you have already filled out the Offer Acceptance form and answered “Yes” and now need to update your status, please  send a message to our team at kohlscareerssupport@kohls.com.

I never received my offer forms. How can I have them sent to me again?

Your offer forms will be sent to the email address you provided for your kohlscareers.com account. Make sure to check your spam/junk mail folders first. If you still do not see your offer, please send us a message at kohlscareerssupport@kohls.com.

How do I take my drug test?

If a drug test is required to begin in the position you’ve been offered, you will receive additional information from our drug test vendor, First Advantage, by email after all your offer forms are completed. Please note that a 48-hour deadline applies to the drug testing process, so look for that email and take action right away.
 

Orientation

I accepted my job offer. When will I be scheduled for my first day?

Once your offer forms are completed and saved we will begin your pre-employment check process. We appreciate your patience as this can take up to week, and sometimes longer, to complete. Once your required pre-employment checks have cleared, you’ll receive an email asking you to schedule your orientation session. Much like the interview scheduling email you may have received earlier in the hiring process, you’ll be able to choose a date and time that works for you. Your orientation session is considered your first day of work with Kohl’s! Woo hoo!

I can’t attend the orientation date and time I scheduled online. What should I do?

We ask that new hires make every effort to keep the date and time they chose during the online scheduling process. If you have an emergency situation that prevents you from attending, and you have not yet received the confirmation email with your first day information, you may be able to use your original scheduling link (from your orientation invitation email) to reschedule yourself online. If you have already received your confirmation email, please send us a message at kohlscareerssupport@kohls.com. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that late notice reschedules of orientation will be permitted.

What should I bring to orientation? How should I dress?

You’ll receive a confirmation email approximately 24-48 hours in advance of your orientation session with lots of details about your first day, including the answers to these questions. You’ll need to bring emergency contact information, bank information to set up direct deposit of your pay, and documentation for the I-9 verification process (please see the I-9 acceptable documents form attached to your offer letter). In general, we ask that you wear business casual attire. Please watch for this very important communication in your inbox, and be sure to check your spam/junk mail folder as well. If your orientation is less than 24 hours away, and you haven’t yet received that email, please send us a message at kohlscareerssupport@kohls.com.
