Executive Distribution Center Opportunities

Each Kohl’s Distribution Center is managed by a DC Director, two Operations Managers, 1-2 Assistant Operations Managers and a staff of Operations Supervisor.

DC Director

The DC Director has full oversight over the building operation. This includes meeting all specified metrics and full profit and loss responsibility for the center. The DC Director is also responsible for the selection and development of executive talent within the building.

Operations Manager

The Operations Manager contributes to the profitability of the Company by maximizing the efficiency of the Distribution Center operations. Operations Managers are functional in nature and oversee specific departments across the different shifts. Operations Managers typically have from 5-15 direct reports. This position reports to the DC Director.

Assistant Operations Manager

The Assistant Operations Manager oversees all functions across a specific shift. They work in coordination with the Operations Manager to execute the daily plan for the shift that they oversee. They are responsible for delivering the daily measured metrics to ensure the building is performing at plan. They interact closely with the Operations Supervisors.

Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the human resource function. The ideal candidate will administer and develop various human resource plans and procedures for the Distribution Center, contributing to the profitability of the Company by maximizing the efficiency of the Distribution Center operations. They plan, organize and control all activities of the department and participate in developing department and building goals and objectives.

Operations Supervisor

Directly accountable for providing service to retail stores by coordinating the processing of merchandise from the vendor, through the Distribution Center, to the retail stores. Responsible for a specific area of the Distribution Center, Operations Supervisors oversee from 5-30 Kohl’s Associates who process the merchandise and ensure it is delivered timely to our stores. They are responsible for the quality of the product delivered and the accuracy of the products going to our stores. They are also responsible for managing a safe work environment.
