Job Title:
Assistant Product Manager- Misses Sonoma Sweaters
Position Summary:
Acts as a liaison between the Merchant group, agent and our makers to develop and source products for our private brand programs, in accordance with the goals and standards of Product Development.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Acts a liaison between Kohl’s Merchant group, Planning and Allocation, Product Development team, Agent and our vendors as we create, develop and source new product.
· Partners with the Buyers, with direction from Product Manager, to develop product and determine private brand assortment.
· Fosters working relationships between all parties involved in the development and production of private branded merchandise for Kohl’s.
· Sources product, following all details, pricing strategies, and timing.
· Completes all follow-up on all placements to ensure product specifications, quality standards, deadlines, and deliveries are met as contracted.
· Ensures product standards are met once orders are placed with a specific maker.
· Ensures products conform to any or all legal requirements and is packaged and labeled appropriately.
· Keeps a line of communication open between all participants in development process.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Multiple years of merchandising experience and/or manufacturing experience.
· Knowledgeable of product, fabric, and garment construction.
· Ability to prioritize multiple projects without sacrificing attention to detail.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and overseas offices.
· Proficient PC skills including Word and Excel.
