Job Title:
Copywriter
Position Summary:
Primary responsibility is to establish copy style and tone that are in the Kohl’s brand voice, but will also collaborate with team to develop creative solutions that are strategically sound and stylistically compelling. Writes compelling copy and delivers on-brand solutions for
a variety of projects, including in-store graphics, brand mailers, collateral, packaging, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Key support for senior copywriters throughout creative process from conceptual ideation to inputting of copy changes.
- Works closely with designers and production designers (and occasionally art directors) to develop integrated creative.
- Has thorough understanding of strategy and objectives, and is comfortable
presenting creative as part of a team. - Produces strategically and stylistically sound copy that adheres to accepted
style practices in general and Kohl’s style practices in particular. - Monitors projects through all stages of production, owning all deadlines/milestones
from kick-off to release. - Stays current with retail and competitor trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
· College degree in Advertising, Communications, English or writing-related field.
· Multiple years of retail or agency copywriting.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Detail-oriented with exceptional editing/proofreading skills.
· Proficient in Word with working knowledge of InDesign.
· Demonstrated organizational/time-management skills.
