Job Title:
Collections Representative - Charged Off Accounts
Position Summary:
As a recovery collector, you will be responsible for collecting on charged off credit card accounts greater than 180 days past due through verbal and written contact with customers. Resolving the bad debt through various negotiation techniques, skip tracing efforts and a thorough analytical review of the customer's financial status will assist to ensure a steady cash flow of recovery dollars. Maintain daily and monthly performance standards set by management that will assist in the attainment of company goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Negotiate pay off balances, settlements, or payment arrangements on charged off credit card and returned check accounts.
- Locate customers through various skip tracing techniques.
- Maintain and update accurate account records.
- Analyze customer financial information by reviewing credit bureau reporting.
- Manage individual accounts as assigned.
- Demonstrate solid decision making skills by recommending further collection action.
- Meet or exceed assigned productivity measurements.
- Work with minimal direct supervision.
- Serve as a resource to others and have the ability to take on additional responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years related collection experience with basic knowledge of collection laws.
- Previous recovery experience collecting charged off accounts is a plus.
- Demonstrated excellent problem solving, negotiation and skip tracing skills.
- Ability to work independently, interact effectively with others in a professional manner and have a high aptitude for learning.
- Good organizational and account management skills.
- High school education or its equivalent.
- Evening and Weekend hours required.

Hours:
- 2 Nights - 1:30pm - 10:00 pm
- 3 Days - hours varied between 7:00am and 6:00pm
- Every other Saturday 8:00am - 3:00pm
