Job Title:
Business Continuity Coordinator
The Business Continuity Coordinator is responsible for the administration and support of the Development, Maintenance, Testing and Documentation of the Business Continuity Programs. This position will be responsible for execution of the maintenance program, system support of the tools and software that support the business plans and reporting. This role also includes working directly with various departments in gathering and documenting processes in the plans. Key support includes responsibility for the Living Disaster Recovery Planning System (LDRPS) and providing reports from the system.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan Development
- Assist Manager in the development of the plan structures including parameters, definitions and system capabilities
- Provide support to the user epartmets during plan development, testing and maintenance.
- Analyze Departmental functions, tasks and processes to prioritize recovery strategies
- Work with Business departments to determine and document manual work around processes to reduce the demands on infrastructure.
Plan Testing
- Assist and Coordinate the business plan testing processes, participating with the critical businesses on departmental testing and identify gaps or failures in testing
- Work with business to determine solutions to gaps and document processes in plans
- Design and develop formalized testing plan, report and opportunity reports.
- Assist and coordinate the development and execution of Crisis Management exercises
Plan Maintenance
- Assist in the devlopment of a prioritizied plan maintenance process which alleviates administrative burden but keeps the business plans relevant
- Support the business in documenting their plan and determining their processes and tasks as it relates to the defined parameters of the plan structure and goals
- Update all relevant websites, hotlines, etc. with current information both on a regular basis as well as during a crisis event
- Administer any system upgrades, system changes and system reporting
Plan Reporting
- Develop reporting from LDRPS to provide visibility into the key areas of the recovery plan in order that Crisis Management can understand requirements of infrastructure and make informed decisions during a crisis event.
- Maintain standard reporting process to routinely update Crisis Management Plans
- Develop exception reporting to highlight new priority needs of the business and/or determine business plans that do not follow plan parameters and goals.
