Job Title:

The Accounting / Finance internship program is designed to expose interns to several areas within the Kohl’s Accounting, Corporate Governance and Finance departments such as Financial Reporting, Internal Audit, Recovery Audit, Treasury, Tax and several operational areas within finance. Interns will also have exposure to senior level management in the Finance division, as well as working relationships and communication with other associates throughout the company. Primary responsibilities include:

·         Developing, conducting, and making recommendations on the internal audit process

·         Department budget reporting and data gathering

·         Forecasting sales, budgets for internal departments, understanding tax information and reporting responsibilities

·         Financial modeling to predict future budgets and audit information

·         Capital investment analysis to clearly understand funds allocated to specific capital investments and how this affects the bottom line

·         Anticipated graduation date between Dec 2010 — Aug 2011

·         Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

·         Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

·         Minimum GPA of 3.0

·         Effective verbal and written communication skills

·         Demonstrated leadership and team work skills

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Power point and Excel

·         Desire to relocate to Wisconsin upon successful completion of internship
