Full-Time Opportunities

The Store Management in Training (MIT) Program is the fast track to a career in retail. The program is designed to give trainees the experience they need in overall store operations to prepare them for running a multi-million dollar business. Over the course of a 12-week training period, trainees will gain hands-on experience with in-store merchandising, store operations, scheduling, payroll, hiring and more! Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will be placed as an assistant store manager and will be responsible for running part of a $10-$16 million business. During their first year, trainees participate in a competition to develop a project to enhance a key business initiative for Kohl’s. The competition includes opportunities to present the project to senior leaders at the corporate office.

Merchandise Analyst Trainee

At Kohl’s, all the merchandise you see in our 1,158 stores comes from talented Associates who work in the buying office at our corporate headquarters just outside of Milwaukee, Wis. The Merchandise Analyst Trainee (MAT) Program is the first step in a defined career path that can lead to great success within the buying office. The MAT program is one of the industry’s best in preparing Associates to be successful. Over the 12-week training period, Associates will have a combination of classroom and hands-on training on topics such as retail, math, inventory & replenishment systems, time management and more. Trainees will also have a trainer assigned to them so they will always have a source for questions. Once training is complete, Associates will dive right into the responsibilities of an analyst and have the opportunity to make an impact within the team.
